CalPers settles with 80,000-person class for $2.7B
The class of California Public Employees Retirement System members sued the fund in 2013 after it announced an 85% premium increase for its Long-Term Care Program.
An 80,000-person class will receive refunds totaling up to $2.7 billion, according to a settlement announced Tuesday with the state's largest public employee retirement fund
The settlement calls for attorney fees of up to 9% of the settlement amount.
