State Bar takes over practice of deceased attorney with 14 client complaints
According to the bar petition, James L. Miller had messaged his clients that he was seriously ill and closing his practice, but several were unable to collect their documents and files.




The State Bar took over the troubled practice of a recently deceased Fresno family law attorney this week.
State Bar Deputy Trial Counsel Chelsey A. Smith filed the petition based partly on a declaration from bar investigator Emily Hutchings.
