Another city votes no confidence in DA, after urging by his deputy

Before the Cerritos’ council passed the resolution 4-1, Deputy District Attorney John McKinney, who is among a group of deputies who have openly criticized George Gascón, told the council the DA is flouting the law.

After urging from a Los Angeles deputy district attorney, the city council of Cerritos passed a resolution of no confidence against DA George Gascón, joining a growing list of 24 cities that have cited concerns over his office’s policies regarding bail, charging and sentences.
