Employers showing more interest in required vaccinations

Private sector employers across the state are weighing “the potential employee relations pushback of a mandatory vaccination program versus the very high bottom line costs they have of not having employees be vaccinated,” said Coby Marie Turner, a partner at Seyfarth Shaw LLP Wednesday.

With encouragement from state and federal government officials, formerly reluctant employers are starting to show more interest in requiring COVID-19 vaccinations for employees, attorneys say.

But in California, employers face still another incentive: the COVID-19 legislation and policies that they have to comply with so long as they have unvaccinated employees.
