FBI to return seized funds after calling plaintiff a drug dealer

Various related lawsuits are seeking similar relief, but for those who have not disclosed their names to the FBI. They fear criminal investigations would and public charges would commence once box owners identify themselves, their attorneys said.

After submitting a declaration stating a plaintiff's funds seized during an FBI raid on U.S. Private Vaults in Beverly Hills were subject to forfeiture due to the money's link to drug trafficking activity, the FBI has said it will return the money.

It accepted the plaintiff's proof that the $57,000 in cash came from two legal settlements.
