Avenatti loses $250M defamation suit against Fox News

“News outlets are not liable for minor mistakes, especially when reporting on public figures and matters of public concern,” said 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals Judge Stephanos Bibas, sitting by designation in a Delaware federal court. He found Fox News’ statements were substantially true about Avenatti’s arrest on suspicion of domestic violence.
