Google denied ‘do-over’ to seal app store information in antitrust suits

“Google had an ample opportunity to demonstrate a compelling reason for sealing, and squandered it,” U.S. District Judge James Donato wrote.

A federal judge on Wednesday mostly refused a second effort by Google to seal information in antitrust lawsuits over its app store policies.

Although he allowed Google to seal a small subset of details, U.S. District Judge James Donato was highly critical of what he called the company's "request for a do-over" and attempt to "pass the buck for its shortfall to the court."
