Trial begins in Pomona water supply pollution dispute

Pomona is attempting to recover $30 million in damages for the alleged contamination of its groundwater supply caused by the North American subsidiary of Sociedad Química y Minera.

A third jury trial started on Tuesday after the city of Pomona filed a lawsuit against a Chilean mining company for polluting the city's water supply almost a century ago.
