Suit says law targets 1 mobile home park in state

Although AB 978, which Gov. Gavin Newsom signed in July, does not mention FisherBroyles LLP partner Paul J. Beard’s client, an Assembly committee noted that it’s the only mobile home park in the state that the text applies to.

An Orange County mobile home park is the sole target of a recent state law that violates the Constitution, a Los Angeles attorney has argued in a complaint.

Although AB 978, which Gov. Gavin Newsom signed in July, does not mention his client, Peace Ranch LLC, an Assembly committee noted that Rancho La Paz is the only mobile home park in the state that the text applies to.
