State’s DAs charging hate crimes against Asians in robberies
San Francisco DA joins others in adding hate crime allegations to felony robbery charges.
A Bay Area man accused of targeting Asian women in a string of robberies has been charged with seven felonies including hate crime allegations, San Francisco District Attorney Chesa Boudin announced Tuesday.
The accused man, O'Sean Garcia, was scheduled for arraignment Tuesday afternoon, where Boudin said prosecutors would be requesting he be held without bail.
