Assemblymember David Chiu named San Francisco city attorney
Mayor London N. Breed announced Chiu’s appointment after Dennis Herrera, who held the post for almost 20 years, was confirmed Tuesday as the next general manager of the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission, starting Nov. 1.
