LA prosecutors sue DA Gascón over hiring, promotions
“The lawsuit seeks to stop the sitting district attorney, George Gascón, from filling the civil service ranks with political loyalists and financial supporters,” according to The Association of Deputy District Attorneys for Los Angeles County.
Los Angeles County prosecutors announced a new lawsuit Thursday against District Attorney George Gascón, saying he has unlawfully hired political and financial supporters.
The Association of Deputy District Attorneys for Los Angeles County, which sued Gascón last year over his policy directives against charging enhancements to lengthen sentences, said in the lawsuit filed Wednesday that the DA is violating the county's civil service rules ...
