Congressman indicted in LA on lying to US investigators charges

Rep. Jeffrey Fortenberry, R-Lincoln, denied that he was aware of any illegal donations in interviews with investigators. In a YouTube video posted on Monday, Fortenberry continued to deny that he had any knowledge of the illegal contributions and said that he never lied to investigators.

A congressman from Nebraska was charged in Los Angeles on Tuesday for concealing information and making false statements to federal authorities about campaign donations from a foreigner.
