Cisco says Nestle decision means Chinese torture case should die

Kathleen M. Sullivan, a partner with Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan LLP, argued a decision rejecting a lawsuit against chocolate makers Nestle USA Inc. and Cargill Inc. that alleged they used child slaves should squelch the Cisco suit too.

An attorney representing Cisco Systems Inc. cited a June decision by the U.S. Supreme Court to argue that a lawsuit against the company saying it created a technical system that allowed the Chinese government to torture followers of the Falun Gong religious movement should be dismissed.
