LA County Judge Ann Jones retires

Jones said one of her proudest accomplishments was being the first superior court judge to hold a dedicated budget-planning position during the recession, when the court was dealing with funding cuts, staff reductions and restructuring.

Judge Ann I. Jones, who held several leadership positions over the past 20 years and guided the Los Angeles County Superior Court through deep funding cuts and a restructuring, is retiring from the court, effective Monday.

Jones said she has no definitive plans for the next chapter in her career. "I'm exploring options starting Tuesday," she said.
