Sutter Health dropped from kickback suit

U.S. Magistrate Judge Kandis A. Westmore found that the complaint failed to specify the California health giant’s role in the alleged conspiracy and whether it had control over other Sutter Health entities alleged to have participated.

A federal magistrate dismissed Sutter Health as a defendant in a whistleblower lawsuit claiming it maintained illegal kickback arrangements with doctors and medical practices in Northern California.
