Foley & Lardner frees juvenile murderer from 2 life terms

The team utilized Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascon’s policies of reviewing sentences in past cases, plus a change in the law to move the case from adult to juvenile court. Their client was convicted and sentenced at 17.

After seven years of work, members of a pro bono team at Foley & Lardner LLP succeeded in freeing a client sentenced to two consecutive life terms without parole for committing two murders and an attempted murder when he was 17.
