July bar exam pass rate drops 7.8% from October 2020

The July exam was the last to be administered remotely, and was again plagued by technical issues with the test vendor, ExamSoft. The State Bar said it investigated complaints made by 31% of test takers and found 2% had lost time or content.

A slight majority of test-takers passed the July bar exam, 53%, the State Bar announced, a pass rate 7.8% less than the October 2020 exam.
