Riverside County has retained Los Angeles attorney Stephen G. Larson to investigate allegations it did not provide the services it promised or access to community-raised funds for 13 siblings who were rescued in 2018 from extreme abuse by their parents.
The county responded to inquiries as to why it had hired outside counsel to investigate the matter with a statement published Friday by Riverside County Executive Officer Jeff Van Wagenen.<...
