Attorneys awarded $56M for work in chicken antitrust litigation

Attorneys from Pearson, Simon & Warshaw LLP of Sherman Oaks and Lockridge Grindal Nauen PLLP of Minneapolis “invested massive resources of time and money when no other counsel expressed interest, with little assurance of success,” wrote U.S. District Judge Thomas M. Durkin of Northern Illinois.

A federal judge awarded $56 million in attorney fees Tuesday to lawyers from Pearson, Simon & Warshaw LLP and a Minneapolis firm for their work representing plaintiffs in an antitrust lawsuit against more than 20 defendants in the chicken processing industry.

The other firm is Lockridge Grindal Nauen PLLP.
