Redistricting Commission’s counsel answers petition to remove him

“Noticeably lacking from the petition is any citation to the legal basis for the relief requested or of this court’s authority to interject itself into the commission’s attorney-client relationship,” wrote Fredric Woocher of Strumwasser & Woocher LLP.

In a reply brief filed with the California Supreme Court, attorneys for the state's Citizens Redistricting Commission denied accusations the law firm has conflicts of interest or that illegal meetings were held and information was kept from the public.
