4-judge Tuolumne County court to lose 2

There are only four judges in Tuolumne County Superior Court, so Judge Donald Segerstrom and Judge Kate Segerstrom have agreed to stay on as temporary judges until Gov. Gavin Newsom appoints their replacements. Visiting judges will also help.

Tuolumne County Superior Court is losing half its bench within a month as two longtime judges, with the same surname, are retiring before the expiration of their six-year terms. They've agreed to keep working on a temporary basis until their replacements are appointed.
