Orange County judge was known getting quickly to the heart of cases.
Ronald E. Owen
Ronald E. Owen, a retired Orange County Superior Court judge known for cutting to the heart of a case, died Nov. 12 of cancer. He was 84.
Owen was married to Orange County Superior Court Judge Cheryl L. Leininger of Westminster, whom he met shortly after his bench appointment. The couple enjoyed water sports in their time off and owned a lakeside vacation home in Idaho.
