Santa Clara County judge gags attorneys in serial robbery case
Deputy Alternate Public Defender Krista L. Henneman filed the motion in response to a news conference held by District Attorney Jeffrey F. Rosen and law enforcement officials in December.
In what experts call a rare occurrence, a Santa Clara County judge has granted a gag order in a case of serial robbery of Asian women after defense counsel raised concerns that prosecutors and law enforcement officials' statements infringed on the defendant's fair trial rights.
