COVID testing service provider readies suit against LA sheriff

Sheriff Alex Villanueva warned against using Fulgent Genetics’ services because they might stare DNA information with China, the company said.

A COVID-19 testing company asked the Los Angeles County Superior Court to authorize the pre-litigation deposition of Sheriff Alex Villanueva and discovery of his cellphone and emails ahead of a defamation lawsuit over his reported statements that the company provides DNA data of county employees to China.
