Semiconductor executives charged with H-1B visa fraud
Sugarman & Cannon of San Francisco, representing the executives, called the charges “a misuse and misapplication of the complex H-1B visa laws” in an emailed statement. The attorneys said the executives had followed the law and kept the government informed of where the temporary immigrants were working.




The Department of Justice charged two Bay Area semiconductor company executives with fraud in obtaining 85 H-1B visas for specialty occupations, then farming out the imported engineers to other employers and laundering up to $1 million in proceeds.
