This process reminds me of a kids' game they used to play at birthday parties. It's called "Telephone." The children line up, and Kid #1 whispers a sentence into Kid #2's ear, like "John bought a box of donuts at the store." Then Kid #2 is supposed to whisper the same sentence to Kid #3 -- and on down the line. (Shutterstock)
