State Bar may sell building to make up budget shortage

“We anticipate that when we sell our San Francisco building in 2022, much of our outstanding debt will be eliminated,” Leah T. Wilson, the State Bar’s executive director, said on Friday to the regulatory agency’s Finance Committee.

The State Bar has pondered the sale of its San Francisco headquarters several times in recent years, but a nearly $4 million projected budget shortfall appears to be pushing the idea past the talking phase.

"We anticipate that when we sell our San Francisco building in 2022, much of our outstanding debt will be eliminated," Leah T. Wilson, the State Bar's executive director, said on Friday to the regulatory agency's Finance Committee.
