Fired prosecutor accuses Santa Clara County of retaliation

Plaintiff Daniel Chung said he expressed his personal opinion in a newspaper editorial and was fired because he disagreed with the DA.

A former prosecutor has sued the Santa Clara County District Attorney Jeff Rosen, alleging Rosen violated his First Amendment rights by firing him after his opinion piece was published in the San Jose Mercury News referring to a surge of racism and violence toward Asian Americans during the pandemic.
