Bad news for bail bonds: Companies subject to cosigner notice requirement
A recent California Court of Appeal decision, which may have sweeping effects on the bail bond industry, has held that bail bond premium financing agreements are consumer credit contracts subject to the notice provision of Civil Code Section 1799.91 and related statutory protections.
