Former USFL team owners sue Fox Sports over branding

The lawsuit alleges that FOX Sports is using the name without consulting Real USFL, an organization formed with the express purpose of protecting the league’s legacy. Real USFL is represented by Los Angeles-based McKool Smith LLC and The Lanier Law Firm PC.

Former team owners in the United States Football League, a classic spring football tournament from the 1980s, filed a federal lawsuit in Los Angeles on Monday to stop Fox Sports from relaunching a new league with the classic branding.
