California Women Lawyers support board diversity laws
When SB 826 was enacted, 29 percent of California public companies had no women on their boards. By March 2021, the percentage of California public companies with all-male boards had dropped to 1.3 percent.
With the increased focus on the importance of diversity, a pair of California laws aimed at diversifying corporate boards of directors has garnered headlines – and legal challenges.
