The Legislature should keep the State Bar on task
The State Bar must stop walking away from its responsibilities.
The Legislature is right to rein in the State Bar's obsessive attempts to ignore its primary mission in favor of "access to justice" experiments. Proponents of such experiments, on which the State Bar has lavished resources, would like to wave away decades of gross failure by the State Bar to discipline crooked lawyers and legal service imposters, all the while claiming insufficient funding.
