Religious liberty for all: a principle worth standing up for
Two students from the Hugh and Hazel Darling Foundation Religious Liberty Clinic at Pepperdine prepared an amicus brief, arguing that the disposal of gray water by an Amish community in Minnesota is part of their constitutional religious liberty right.






The founders of the United States believed the individual right to freely practice religion was of such high importance they enshrined it in the very first amendment to the United States Constitution. Out of respect for this national tradition, California's legal community has a duty to advocate for those whose sincerely held religious beliefs are threatened by unnecessarily burdensome government regulations.
