Activision challenges box-check lease renewal

Los Angeles Judge Elaine Lu sustained the video game maker’s demurrer to Regus Management Group’s breach of rent contract lawsuit with leave to amend because the plaintiff did not include a copy of the contract.

Can a tenant renew a lease by simply clicking a button at the bottom of an email?

The judge presiding over a rent dispute between Activision and its former landlord in Santa Monica doesn’t seem to think so. On Tuesday, Los Angeles Judge Elaine Lu sustained the video game maker’s demurrer to Regus Management Group’s breach of rent contract lawsuit with leave to amend because the plaintiff did not include a copy of the contract.
