Workers who left Tesla for Rivian ask judge to void NDA

Attorneys for the nine defendants called the NDA in Tesla’s employment contract a “sweeping provision” that essentially bans them from working for any other electric carmaker.

Nine former Tesla Inc. employees, who left to work for electric carmaker and competitor Rivian Automotive Inc., asked a Santa Clara County judge Wednesday to void Tesla’s nondisclosure agreement and toss breach of contract and data privacy claims against them in a trade secrets theft lawsuit.
