Former Marin County prosecutor files discrimination lawsuit

Otis Bruce says he was fired after almost 33 years for racing concerns about the treatment of a newly hired Black attorney.

A former Marin County prosecutor filed a lawsuit alleging retaliation and workplace discrimination, claiming he was fired last year after raising concerns about how a newly hired Black attorney was being treated.

The plaintiff, Otis Bruce, worked for the Marin County district attorney’s office for almost 33 years before joining the Alameda County district attorney’s office in January.
