OpenAI sues another AI company over similar name

OpenAI, maker of ChatGPT, claimed Open Artificial Intelligence Inc. has caused confusion in the marketplace by leading people to believe the two entities are related.

San Francisco-based OpenAI, the developer of artificial intelligence tool ChatGPT, filed a trademark infringement and unfair competition lawsuit in federal court against an almost identically named company.
