Bar agrees to pause charges against Girardi’s son-in-law
Bar prosecutors wrote in a court filing that because there is already a federal criminal case pending against David Lira and others, including Thomas V. Girardi, in federal court, did not oppose Lira’s request to abate the charges in the interest of the Fifth Amendment.




State Bar prosecutors agreed to abate a disciplinary proceeding against former Girardi Keese attorney David R. Lira and allegations that he misappropriated settlement funds for the families of Lion Air crash victims in Indonesia.
