Lawyer must pay $5K for demanding in-person hearing
Roger E. Naghash in Irvine asked an appellate court to reverse an award of sanctions against him and his client for demanding an in-person pretrial conference with his opposing counsel, which resulted in a delay of the trial.




An Orange County attorney lost his appeal of a $5,771 fine for persistently demanding an in-person pretrial conference in an estate case, which caused a delay to the trial. However, the appellate court reversed the sanction imposed on the client.
