LA County must go to trial in lawsuit over homeless
"While we're understandably disappointed by the 9th Circuit's ruling on our appeal, the county is prepared to continue litigating this case in court even as it makes combating homelessness its top priority," Miller Barondess LLP partner J. Mira Hashmall said.
Los Angeles County will head to trial in the coming months to defend a major housing lawsuit after a federal appellate court refused to dismiss the case.
A 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals panel’s two-page order on Friday said the county had not “demonstrated a clear and indisputable right to the extraordinary remedy” of a writ of mandamus.
