Kagan refuses to enjoin App Store payment practice pending antitrust case

Epic Games, maker of many popular video games including Fortnite, claims Apple violates antitrust laws by forcing developers to go through its App Store and pay a commission.

The U.S. Supreme Court, in a decision by Justice Elena Kagan, on Wednesday rejected a bid by Epic Games Inc. to allow a district court judge’s injunction to take effect for now, permitting Apple Inc. to keep its App Store payment practices in place pending an appeal.
