Trump seeks to lift stay on suit against Facebook claiming suppression

Trump’s attorneys wanted the stay lifted to file a second amended complaint, writing, “a wealth of new evidence directly supporting the claims” of collusion between Facebook and the Biden administration “has been made public.”

Attorneys for President Donald J. Trump filed a motion Tuesday to lift the stay on his First Amendment case against Facebook parent company Meta Platforms Inc., in which he accused the company of colluding with Congress and President Joe Biden’s administration to suppress content questioning the integrity of the 2020 election and statements on COVID-19 that did not align with the Democratic Party’s preferred narratives.
