Smokey Robinson owes his former manager $2,000, much less than the $1 million he asked for, a Los Angeles jury decided after a four-day breach of contract trial in federal court.
The jury decided Monday that the Motown executive, singer, and songwriter owes $2,000 on an album advance to plaintiff Eric Podwall, who sought 500 times that amount.
