Judge dismisses consumer antitrust claim against Google, Apple

U.S. District Judge Edward J. Davila wrote that the vague and conclusory allegations plaintiffs put forward are insufficient to establish any anticompetitive conduct or conspiracy to monopolize.

A federal judge in San Jose dismissed, with leave to amend, claims that Google LLC and Apple Inc. conspired for almost 20 years to monopolize the online search market.

U.S. District Judge Edward J. Davila wrote in his Friday opinion that the vague and conclusory allegations plaintiffs put forward are insufficient to establish any anticompetitive conduct or conspiracy to monopolize.
