Eastman surrenders in Georgia, State Bar case to resume
“I am here today to surrender to an indictment that should never have been brought. It represents a crossing of the Rubicon for our country, implicating the fundamental First Amendment right to petition the government for redress of grievances,” the Anaheim-based attorney said in a statement issued at the time of his booking.




John C. Eastman, an Anaheim-based former attorney to then President Donald Trump, surrendered in Fulton County, Georgia on Tuesday, where he faces criminal charges accusing him of participating in a conspiracy to overturn the 2020 presidential election results.
A California State Bar trial which could result in his disbarment was continued from Tuesday to Thursday to allow him to travel to Georgia.
