Claim against CBS says pitch meeting created implied contract

The complaint states that CBS violated what the plaintiff says is a long-standing practice in the entertainment industry in which a pitch meeting creates an implied-in-fact contract, requiring credit and compensation for the creators.

The CBS musical series “Superfan” is a “ripped-off” version of a show that Accelerated Global Content LLC (AGC) says it developed and pitched to the network four years ago, says a complaint filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court.
