Family files first wrongful death claim over Maui fire
The lawsuit was filed by California firm Singleton Schreiber. Also, Maui County sued power companies over the wildfire. The county is represented by Baron & Budd and Diab Chambers LLP and Cronin, Fried, Sekiya, Kekina & Fairbanks.




Singleton Schreiber filed on Thursday what the firm says is the first wrongful death lawsuit against Maui's four main utility companies on behalf of the family of a man who died after experiencing severe burns and smoke inhalation from the wildfire.
