Glendale beats back suits aimed at stopping power plant update
“This is probably one of the most thoroughly reviewed EIRs that I’ve been involved with,” said Glendale City Attorney Michael J. Garcia. “Our consultants, our outside counsel — we developed a very defensible document.”




The City of Glendale prevailed in two lawsuits aiming to halt plans to build new gas-fired engines at its Grayson Power Plant.
City residents, who do not oppose the overall project, will appeal to save a 1941 Boiler Building from destruction, an attorney said Wednesday. The Sierra Club wants clean energy sources other than natural gas to be used and has not stated its next steps.
