Jury begins deliberating California’s fentanyl murder trial

Riverside County District Attorney Mike Hestrin is applying a legal argument similar to that used in fatal drunken driving cases.

RIVERSIDE — The jury began deliberating Wednesday in California’s first murder trial against a man accused of causing a death by giving a young woman fentanyl knowing it could be fatal.
